Instructions & Support

Installation
The Fork Level has two parts: a fluorescent green rod, and a clear tube. The green rod attaches to the top of the forklift mast, and the tube attaches on the cage above the operator. Set it up so the operator can easily see the green glowing rod from the seat.
- Adjust the forklift so the mast is tilted ALL THE WAY BACK toward the operator.
- Lay the Fork Level on top of the truck cage, with the green rod end at the front, the other end toward the rear.
- Move Fork Level to the left or right side of the cage where it is easiest for the driver to see.
- Peel the backing tape and attach the far end of the Fork Level to the top of the cage, at the back edge.
- Pull out the green rod, peel the backing tape from the back of the end block, and attach to the forklift mast.
- Start the fork lift engine and tilt the mast all the way back and forward, watching the Fork Level to make sure it moves freely.

Setting the Level Point
- Raise the fork about 6"-8" off the floor.
- Measure the distance between the forks and the floor, at front and back of the fork.
- Adjust the tilt until the distance to the floor is equal along the whole fork.
- Your fork is now parallel to the floor (level). Turn the engine off.
- Slide one of the indicators on the Fork Level about 1/2" before the front of the end of the green rod.
- Slide the other indicator to about 1" from the first indicator, to create the "level zone".

Operation
As the mast tilts back and forth, watch the end of the green rod. When it is in the center of the Level Zone, your fork is parallel to the floor (level). Note that even if the floor is not level, the fork will be parallel to the floor, which is more important than actually being level.
